This 4-5 hour tour takes us to the cog-and-rack train riding through the world's largest urban forest, this site offers a spectacular 360º view of Rio at 710m a.s.l., which celebrates the centenary of the declaration of the independence from Portugal, and is truly one of the world's marvels.
The tour is concluded with drives along Rio's famous beaches.

Sugar Loaf
This 5-hr-tour includes a visit to the Sugar Loaf (396m a.s.l.) by a set of cable cars, from where one has a spectacular view of the Guanabara bay and downtown Rio; followed by a city tour, with highlights such as the principal attractions of downtown, the Sambodromo, the Maracana, the modern cathedral, the Sao Bento monastery, etc..-
Since you'd be paying by the hour, you can make some of your own choices, like, f. ex., lunch (not included) at the famous traditional "Colombo" restaurant, or in the bohemian borough of Sta. Teresa.
Also: A short helicopter flight (not included) can be booked off the Sugar Loaf.

Petròpolis
This entails a drive of about an hour (65kms), up into the beautiful mountains and jungles behind Rio, to the regal town of Petrópolis; and a visit to it's Imperial Museum (shown here) ...
Upon arriving in Petrópolis you pass the house in which Stefan Zweig lived, and wrote his "Brazil, Land of the Future".
Further on one also gets to see the house in which Alberto Santos Dumont invented the motorized airplane ... and the wrist-watch ... and ... and ...;
then the cathedral, where Pedro II (Brazil's 2nd emperor) and his family are buried; -
and the Crystal Palace, where princess Isabel held concerts for the common mortals; -
also the "Quitandinha", formerly a casino built in the Tudor style, where one can lunch, choosing from a lake-side restaurant, or one within the "Quitandinha" itself.
This tour usually takes around 5 - 6 hours.
